HOME Eco PRoducts Analysis of RoHS

Analysis of RoHS

Samsung Techwin tests all parts and components provided through its suppliers for presence of environmentally hazardous substances, throughout the development and production cycles.

Parts and components supplied to us are first checked for hazardous substances, using an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF). Parts or components with concentration of hazardous substances exceeding our internally-set maximum levels are re-tested, using an inductively coupled plasmas analyzer (ICP), for final check, and any corrective measures that may be needed are then implemented. Even parts and components that are already in use for mass-production are regularly re-tested to determine the content of hazardous substances.

Samsung Techwin's inventory of test equipment to detect hazardous substances includes an inductively coupled plasma analyzer, X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (4 units) and portable X-ray fluorescent analyzers (2 units). Both internally produced products and products manufactured by our suppliers are tested for presence and concentration of environmentally hazardous substances (cadmium, lead, mercury hexavalent chrome).
