Working Environment Improvement
To manage the environment at our production sites and control potential safety risks, we have set up a unit (approved by the Ministry of Labor) to carry out internal assessments of the level of physical, chemical and biological hazards. The work environment at Samsung Techwin is maintained to stringent company-established safety standards (maximum allowable levels of hazardous substances are 30% below the levels set by law). As part of this effort to continuously enhance the environment of our production sites, Samsung Techwin also enlists the help of universities and outside organizations specialized in industrial safety management.
Samsung Techwin operates an in-house laboratory providing support for safety and environmental analysis in a variety of fields (industrial hygiene, water quality, product environment, etc.).
＊Industrial Hygiene : Our internal hazardous substance control unit (approved by the Ministry of Labor) measures the level of safety risk present at our production sites on both a regular and random basis (regular testing twice a year, ad hoc and random testing). These thorough monitoring activities have helped us better control safety risks and prevent accidents at our organization, contributing to creating a healthier and more pleasant work environment.
＊Water Quality : Wastewater produced from production processes is analyzed both regularly and on an ad hoc basis, ahead of chemical and biological treatment. We maintain all controlled substances below the maximum allowable levels set by law.
＊Product Environment : To effectively respond to international hazardous substance regulations, we monitor the presence and content of controlled substances in our products throughout the entire production cycle, from the stage of design to production and exports.
