External Activities

SAMSUNG TECHWIN

Cooperates with external partners to help increase environmental and safety capabilities of the local community.Sharing our knowledge and experience in environmental and safety management with the community is one of the ways through which Samsung Techwin fulfills its social responsibility, helping it also enhance its corporate image.
Through a cooperative network formed with Gyeongnam-based Samsung-affiliated firms, we share environmental information and conduct programs to prevent safety accidents.

Volunteer Activities by Samsung 3119 Rescue Unit

Found in 1995, the Samsung 3119 Rescue Unit has been actively participating in volunteer activities to help disaster-stricken regions across Korea.

Rescue and recovery support in the event of airplane crashes and floods,
including dive teams

Support and assistance toward activities of the Korean Scout Federation,
Red Cross, associations for handicapped people and fire stations

Underwater cleaning support for environmental projects (ex. Upo Swamp)

Yeongnam Environment and Safety Council

This council composed of environment and safety officers of Samsung-affiliated firms, based in the Gyeongsangnam-do region (Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung Hospital, Samsung Electronics, etc.) offers guidance in environmental and safety management to the local community by publishing, for instance, examples of best practice in this field.
