For a more organized response to emergency situations such as accidents and disasters, Samsung Techwin has set up an emergency control room within the Disaster Prevention Center to lead its control and rescue efforts. As a result, our emergency coordination and communications capabilities have been significantly strengthened, and our overall response system for safety accidents, fire and natural disasters, optimized.
Meanwhile, the Gyeongnam Regional Rescue Team, formed in 1995, at the same time as the creation of Samsung 3119 Rescue Unit, provides rescue services to the local community as well as carries out volunteer activities.
As abnormal climatic changes in recent times have caused the incidence of natural disasters to increase, we put into place a basic emergency response and management system for both our offices and production sites, and the local community, to minimize damage. For disaster-prone regions, we conduct inspections and implement preventive measures.
